The organisation behind Nordic Championships 2022 consists of talented and dedicated people, all committed to bringing you the horse event of the year 2022. This series of posts will present some of the key people behind the event. Next up is Team Leader for Team Service, Therese Ling.
I’m Therese Ling, and I’m the Team Leader for the Service team. I work with everything that has to do with for example catering and food court at the venue to volunteers and national teams. As a team leader I act as support for my team and cooperate with the management group about various questions. My team consists of Johanna Veijanen, who is in charge of the volunteers, Johanna Hagström, who takes care of the national teams, Jenny Enbär, who makes sure that catering and food court are top quality, and Sara Henriksson, who sees that ceremony & pause program are well organised.
I moved to Åland from Sweden about 8 years ago and work as a business developer for the Åland Chamber of Commerce. I’m also the chairman for our local Icelandic horse club Álenskur. I have my own horse, a 12-year-old mare called Lysa från Stummelbol.
The best thing about the competition planning so far has been to get to know so many new people, all with the same goal and interest in the Icelandic horse. I believe that the Nordic Championships will be a great horse festival!
